Transit: Generally safe in the tourist area. The transition zone east of Gastown toward the DTES requires awareness at night.

Kitsilano
$$A more local neighbourhood feel across False Creek. Kitsilano Beach, great cafés, and a vibrant morning culture. Better for fans staying multiple weeks who want a neighbourhood experience.
