Arrowhead is the loudest building in American sport and holds the world record to prove it. It sits in the Truman Sports Complex east of downtown Kansas City, sharing a vast apron of parking with the baseball stadium next door and surrounded by essentially nothing else. That isolation is the point: with no bar district to absorb the crowd, the tailgate in the lots becomes the pre-game, and a visitor without a parking pass misses most of what makes the trip worth taking.

The Truman Sports Complex opened in 1972 with a then radical idea: two purpose built stadiums side by side, one for football and one for baseball, rather than the shared concrete bowls being built everywhere else at the time. Arrowhead was the football half and has never been anything but the Chiefs’ home. A major renovation in 2010 rebuilt the concourses and added the current club spaces, and the field took its sponsored name in 2021. The long-term future of the complex is under active public discussion in the region.

The complex sits off Interstate 70 about fifteen to twenty minutes east of downtown.
