Miami International Autodrome
The Miami International Autodrome is a temporary circuit laid out around the Hard Rock Stadium campus in Miami Gardens, about twenty five minutes north of downtown Miami. It is not a permanent racing facility: the track is assembled on stadium parking areas and access roads each year and taken apart afterwards. The stadium itself becomes the paddock and hospitality centre, which gives the event an unusual layout where the infield feels more like a festival site than a racetrack.

How it got here
The history that still shapes what you see on a visit.
Formula 1 spent years trying to establish a second American race, with proposals for a downtown Miami street circuit repeatedly running into local opposition. The solution was to move the event out to the Hard Rock Stadium campus, on land already owned by the stadium, which sidestepped most of the objections. The first race was held in May 2022 and the circuit has been revised in detail between editions since.

Transit summary
The campus is car dependent and there is no rail station at the venue. Brightline to Aventura combined with a shuttle is the most practical public transport route from downtown Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Tri-Rail serves the wider corridor with a shuttle connection on event days. Miami International Airport is around thirty minutes away in normal traffic and considerably longer during the race weekend.
Parking and rideshare
Parking is sold in advance by lot and the campus is large enough that the wrong lot means a substantial walk in the heat. Rideshare pickup zones are staged well away from the circuit and surge heavily after the race. Traffic around the campus on the Sunday is severe in every direction, so plan to either leave very early or stay well after.

- Miami Gardens and the campus fringe (closest of all, very limited stock, chains only)

- There is nothing walkable outside the campus. The circuit sits in a suburban parking landscape.
- The circuit’s own hospitality and food villages, extensive and priced for a Formula 1 crowd
- Aventura and Sunny Isles for restaurants on the way back toward the coast
- Wynwood, Little Havana and Brickell for the evenings, which is where the race weekend social calendar actually happens
Tours and visits
There is no venue tour, because the circuit only exists during the race period. Hard Rock Stadium itself runs tours on selected non event dates and is the permanent structure at the centre of the site.

- May in South Florida is hot and humid with a real chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Sun protection and water are not optional and the walking distances are long.
- Grandstand choice matters more here than at most circuits because the layout is spread around a stadium campus. Check what your seat actually sees before buying.
- Race weekend pricing across Miami hotels changes completely. Book early or base yourself in Fort Lauderdale and use Brightline.
- The event calendar around the race is as much of a draw as the racing for many attendees. Decide which one you are actually travelling for.
- Confirm the date directly with the organisers. The Formula 1 calendar is published annually and individual race dates move between seasons.
